The Halloweekend; Part 2

 The costumed revelry continues...

The party was at a loft downtown. There were Mike Maxwell paintings all along the hallway.
I must live here someday.

ReVamp; the Halloween Edition

So, after about a week and a half, I'm finally finally getting in a holiday post. I've been working all week to finish up my costume and it was just ready to wear out yesterday to the House of Elements party. Which was a lot of fun, with a really good turn out, cheap drinks and some fun bands. Too bad I was tired from working all day. By 12:00, I was ready for bed. Such an old lady. Well, I didn't get any photos of my costume but there are two more parties ahead to take care of that. In the meantime, I've got wig styling and party friends.

It started as this.

It's actually harder to curl a wig then you're own hair.

It ended up as this. I decided my wig head needed make up and a name. So, say hello to Marie of Versailles.

 Miss Eka as a cowboy.

 It's a cat fight!

They have cute themed costumes for the entire weekend.

And so, the great Halloweekend continues....

Move up or Move on

It's been an interesting week both eventful and ordinary.
Just got back from my second session of yoga with CJ and Eka. The effect has already been pretty profound- I feel amazing after an hour of yoga. It's new, it's proactive and it's grounding. During the class, I'm not thinking about all the bullshit that's been happening lately. And afterwards, I'm able to accept the problems. And I'm that much more happy for that.

On lighter notes, the Halloween costume is coming along. I hope I can get it ready in time. I suppose I ought to do a photo post but I kinda want to want till it's completely finished.

Finally

After almost 3 months of wondering and waiting, I finally bite the bullet and contacted KJ. I had already accepted that our friendship was over but I couldn't let it go without at least trying to understand why.
I wasn't entirely surprised with the response I got back. But it was apparent that she and I definitely have differing ideas about our friendship.
I'm sad to lose her, since I thought of her as a very good friend. But honestly, I'm also a bit relieved. To know why and to have closure. I don't understand why she didn't just let me know when she decided this, though. It could have saved me months of speculation.

Thank goodness for ML, I know I won't ever have to worry about or doubt her friendship.

More music and such

I love pretty pretty Elvis and I love this song. A nice sunday combination. What I ought to be doing today is working on my Halloween costume. But seeing as how I don't yet have any plans for Halloween and my bed is really comfortable, I'm thinking costuming will wait.

ooohh, and I also love Dean Winters. That man is so crazy sexy.

I'm having an affair with Norwegian musicians

Kaizers Orchestra- Jævel Av En Tango

Ida Maria- Oh My God

If you have a chance to get ahold of a Kaizers Orchestra album, jump on it. They are really just marvelous. And the language barrier actually is kinda nice. I tend to focus on vocals in music so not understanding the words gives me a chance to hear the music for the music. And Ida Maria is just good listening for times like these.
