There is too much to do...

I'm under the weather and my car is leaking power steering fluid and men are crazy and laundry needs to get done. So, have a look at what's been happening the past few weeks.

Summer Activities

Busy busy these past weeks- work aside, I've hardly been home for days. This last week saw some rock-climbing, a birthday picnic and some Halloween costume shopping. This week sees me tired and broke from all the recent fun times. But I've got some fun costume bits posted out to me so there will be a Halloween edition of ReVamp coming up shortly...

The picnic was all ice cream truck snacks and bocci and barely cooked tri-tip and cute hipster boys.

I wore my milkmaid dress simply because it is one of only a few outfits I have that can work in the heat. It's sleeveless and thin cotton and isn't super tight all of which help when it's toasty out.

My standard outfit lately- shorts and tanks. Stylish...

The roommate and I went rock climbing for the first time yesterday. It was my idea and I somehow forgot that I'm afraid of heights. Well, I remembered once I got about halfway up the wall and froze like a popscicle. After that, I stuck to the little 8 foot bouldering walls. CJ did brilliantly- she turned into a little spider monkey. Crippling fear and ruined nails aside, I have a blast and will be trying my hand at the big wall again soon.

The Practicably Perfect in Every Way Day

Yesterday, we went to the beach. And had one of the best days possible.

Em grabbed some of the over plentiful sea grass and made a bracelet out of it.

Yes, those are my toes in sand. How odd. And yes, that is my giant sunhat shadow. Gotta protect that skin!

We found a little tunnel that lead to another cove. It was a bit of a squeeze at parts and a little creepy but luckily Em had her glowstick.

 Yuck. Roommates.

This cove felt like Italy. Plus, it had less seaweed and more cute dogs so we planted and hit the water.

Later on, we were briefly befriended by this adorable little pup. All he wanted to do was play fetch with a piece of seaweed. We happily obliged the little guy.

He was so smart and a pretty great jumper!

The Other Night-

Scrabble with the roommate and socks with ballet flats and music and letters from dear friends. My life is so so amazing.

Things that I love when it's 85 degrees out

 Heatwave!
Not the song so much as the actual melting, sweaty, miserable event. San Diego has had some of the muggiest weather the past few weeks. I don't know how anyone can live in a place that has these kinds of summers. Every year for pete's sake!

So, sun tea has in constant supply. A $3 box of plain old Lipton black tea and I think I'll be good til Christmas.

Fans are on constant rotation in the house. We could just turn on the AC like normal folk but then I might never leave the house.

Also, shorts are in here at Ole Miss. Unfortunately, I only have two pairs so my wardrobe lately has been well.. sloppy. But on the plus side, I can't stop listening to Janis Joplin today. Have some.

Photos I never got around to posting: Or A Pacifying Post

Some pictures showing off this crazy San Diego winter weather- ahaha! A bunch of us meet up in Old Town and had a mini goodbye fest for DC. She traded all this for some San Francisco action and I miss her something awful!

Some photos from when I went to see the Silent Comedy boys play.  I was going to use these for a prep post but didn't end up taking enough of them to do it proper. The bow on the purse is a little trick I picked up from The Freelancers Fashion Blog.

Kitties and Day-Glo Jesus. Enjoy!
