Okay all joking aside, celebrating our independence day is always a fun surprise for me. Maybe it's because the holiday falls in the summer (my least favorite season) or because of all the relentless patriotism after 9-11 but the 4th of July usually seems like a chore until it's actually here.
Then I remember it's sparklers and friends and beer and cupcakes that turn your tongue blue.
And as if that's not enough.... fireworks!
